The spring flower show at Keukenhof near Amterdam is well worth a visit. The estate, built in 1642, was used not only for hunting but also to supply the castle kitchen with herbs. The slowly developing landscape garden was created in 1949 at the suggestion of flower bulb growers as a showcase for spring flowers. Daffodils, tulips, hyacinths, imperial crowns etc. are presented to visitors. Since then, Keukenhof has developed into one of the biggest tourist attractions in the Netherlands.

In early fall, red, orange, golden yellow and soft brown tones dominate the landscape. The chlorophyll (leaf green) of the plants is broken down and carotenoids and anthocyanins color the leaves yellow and red. The intense rays of the summer sun are lost in a mild, gentle light. The humidity rises and fresh breezes can be felt. The early fall landscape is one of the most beautiful that nature has to offer. The mist in the morning has its own charm.

Antalya is a Turkish holiday destination. Countless yachts are moored in the old harbour and the beaches are lined with large hotels. The city is considered the gateway to the Mediterranean coast in the south of Turkey, which is also known as the Turquoise Coast due to its blue waters. Macro photography is a special kind of subject. According to DIN 19040, a scale range of 1:10 to 10:1 is shown. However, with normal lenses you can only achieve scales of 1:7 to 1:10. Larger image scales require a macro lens with which you can achieve scales of up to 1:1. Magnifying lenses, close-up lenses, bellows, extension rings etc. are used for larger images.

Germany's northernmost federal state is home to some very beautiful places with wonderful landscapes and gentle tourism. Whether in Kühlungsborn or Rerik, vacationers and spa guests are offered a lot. So if you don't just want to enjoy the forest, the water and the fresh sea air, cultural activities in the concert gardens or sporting activities such as surfing, sailing, tennis, golf or horse riding are recommended. Extensive cycling tours are also a suitable alternative for active vacationers. A ride on the "Molli" train is a great experience, especially for children. A visit to the north of Germany is well worthwhile.

Nowadays, cameras are no longer just used as recording devices. They are literally computers that use a wide variety of methods to remove images from reality. However, a more elegant solution is offered by computers with corresponding image processing software. They are both computers and yet the second variant offers the more comprehensive possibilities.

With around 11 million inhabitants, Portugal is located in the west of the Iberian Peninsula. The Azores and Madeira are also part of the national territory. There is something interesting for everyone to discover and experience in one of the 7 regions. In the north, the cities of Lisbon and Porto are full of sights and in the south, sun-seekers will find beautiful sandy beaches in the Algarve.

The Iguaçu Falls form a U-shaped gorge 700m long and 150m wide. Depending on the weather, between 1500m³ - 7000m³ of water flow per second. These photos were taken on the Brazilian side, as most of the falls are on the Argentinian side.

A wonderful vacation in Cuba. Booked as a package tour but individually organized. The best way to experience Cuba is with your own rental car. A trip from the "Elephant Ridge" to Trinidad brings a few surprises and lots of fun. The overnight stays with private individuals and the resulting contacts make it possible to understand the people who live there.

I was lucky enough to attend the opening of the Africarace 2010 in Portugal. It was a very special experience - but very dusty, as you can see in some of the photos. Despite the excellent equipment of the vehicles, the Autokrahn had to rescue several vehicles that were unable to complete the course under their own power.

Photos without direct reference which are evaluated differently and cannot be classified immediately. It will always be the case that a classification is possible depending on the viewer's point of view. As is so often the case in life, there will be four opinions among three viewers. Pictures are interpreted from an individual point of view. If several viewers interpret what is depicted in a similar way, the goal has been achieved.

A beautiful vacation at Lake Balaton in Hungary is highly recommended. You can visit various spas nearby. Unfortunately, the lake is not freely accessible everywhere, as private properties block access.
