Even though photography is recognised as an art form today, not every camera owner has to mutate into an artist. In general, successful depictions of landscape, nude, industrial, animal and theatre photography, among others, should be understood by photographers and viewers as a craft. Photomontages will also be seen more and more frequently in photo exhibitions. Amateur photography in particular is the driving force in the photographic industry. Over time, a personal style and an individual view of the motifs will emerge.
Numerous individual theories are discussed in photography, as a standardised and comprehensive "theory of photography" is still lacking. The desired image statement is increasingly determined by corresponding photographic techniques in photographic practice. In recent decades, it has become more differentiated and encompasses countless areas. As a result, this marvellous discovery has captivated ordinary people, great minds and clever thinkers.
The art theorist Karl Pawek puts it bluntly in his book "Das optische Zeitalter" (Olten/Freiburg i. Br. 1963, p. 58): "The artist creates reality, the photographer sees it." In my view, this statement is only partially tenable in today's world.
